How do I access professional learning resources in the VLE?

What is the VLE?

Ontario’s Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) is a secure online learning management system licensed by the ministry and provided at no cost to school boards to support the delivery of online, remote and blended learning by classroom educators, and professional learning for educators and other school board employees.

How do I login?

All Ontario school boards have their own instance of the VLE. To access professional learning resources in the VLE, you need to log in to your school board’s instance of the VLE.

To access your school board’s instance of the VLE you can:

1. Go directly to your board’s instance https://yourboardacronym.elearningontario.ca

OR

2. Go to d2l.com/ontario and select your board from the list provided

Now that I'm logged in, how do I get to the resources?

Once inside your board’s instance of the VLE, on the main home page, look for a white box titled, “My courses In Other Orgs”. (See example image)

Within that box, find and click “1. Supports for Virtual Learning / Appuyer l'apprentissage virtuel (e-Community - Ontario - Communauté d'@pprentissage)

You are now in a ministry-developed eCommunity where a variety of resources are housed and new materials will be posted. Explore the site to see what’s available.
